Consumers On Facebook Are Low Intent

We're really curious about consumers' mindsets when they are online and how they are different depending on where online they are. It turns out Facebook isn't as powerful as we all thought.

There are a lot of people on Facebook - currently 1.23 billion people worldwide are active on Facebook each month. But, is it an effective marketing channel?

Our data shows that Facebook has the lowest in-store redemption rate of promotions that are discovered on social media channels.

People who sign up for promotions from Facebook are least likely to actually redeem in-store.

We also know that people who redeem promotions that are found on Facebook are slow to move. Only 37% of them redeem the same day they sign up and 27% of them come in 3 days after they signed up which is when they are automatically sent a reminder email.
